            Get Involved

We would love to partner with you!  if you’re interested in getting involved with this work in Kenya, here are some ways it can happen:

            Volunteer with us in America

Much of what we need is information. Doing research for Dala on specific topics is a huge service to us and will help us manage our time better. There’s no need to live near us; communication can be done via email or over the phone.

            Intern in Kenya

Interns have an opportunity to live and work in the community while conducting in-depth research on asset mapping and program evaluation. A minimum commitment of eight weeks is required as well as an associate’s degree or higher level of education. On limited occasions we offer students an opportunity to do program assessment and research assignments that require a four-week commitment.

            Donate
You can make a tax deductible donation to support program related expenses for the work we do in Kenya. Donations for our work are processed by Global Horizons Inc, a reputable 501c3 organization. To donate online, click here. You can also write out a check to Dala Development – GHI, and mail your check to:

            Pray
More than any material thing, we need prayer; prayer for the sustainable transformation of the community in a way which builds unity and brings dignity to the villagers; wisdom for the leaders as they make plans and implement them.

To become a prayer partner, email us and you will receive email updates on specific prayer needs.

            Buy from Alume Imports
Alume Imports sells products made in the village through the Economic Development Program. The merchandise is not all from the women in the area but also from other artisans in Kenya and Uganda. Focusing mainly on women’s accessories, Alume’s products are unique and beautiful.
